Audiences won’t be disappointed at the 2011 Norfolk Island Country Music Festival.

The festival runs over four main nights and leaves plenty of time to explore the beauty of Norfolk Island, take in the tours or simply check out the many bargains in the main street of Burnt Pine.

The local clubs are a part of Country Music Week and feature daytime shows featuring some well-known acts and showing off the local talent.

For more information email: nicma@norfolk.net.nf or book with your local travel agent.

The Coal Rangers
The Coalrangers, an iconic South Island country/blues/roots band formed in 1988 with former members of Christchurch's Cowboys and Queenstown's Cat & Ratz. The founding members met at Whitecliffs Music Festival in the mid eighties. Their second album Coast To Coast won the New Zealand Music Award for Country Album in 1997. Their third album Home Tonight featured original material, giving full reign to the songwriting talents of four of the band members. The live album The Harbourlight Sessions appeared in 2003 and featured material from two of The Coalranger's annual "office party"concerts at the theatre.

Roger Tibbs
These days I am singing a far greater range of the easy listening genre than the country cowboy I started out as, although the early material remains an important part of what I do. I look back at the wonderful times we have had and the many wonderful friends we have found on the journey. But I also look forward to exciting times ahead. In fact an invitation to Canada in July 2008 to perform at the prestigious Calgary Stampede before an audience in excess of ten thousand has definitely been a career highlight for me.
